Meacham and Tollgate give Union County a winter network, not one attraction behind one gate. The Blue Book lists both areas as county points of interest. It also places Union County between the Blue and Wallowa mountains. ODOT’s Northeast Oregon list puts Tollgate on Oregon Route 204 in the Umatilla National Forest. It names more winter parking areas around the same corridor. The brochure also lists Mount Emily east of Meacham in the Umatilla National Forest.
These names form a cluster, but each listing is still a parking-area record. ODOT defines Sno-Parks as designated winter recreation parking areas. Permit money helps pay for snow removal. A listing does not prove that every nearby trail, facility, or activity is open. The list shows the network’s shape without turning it into a live conditions report.
