In Multnomah County, court, vital, and land records use different doors
Multnomah County routes court files to Oregon's Judicial Department, land documents to County Recording, and recent birth or death certificates to county Vital Records.

In Multnomah County, name the record before choosing the office. Court case files are not held by the county. The county sends them to Multnomah County Circuit Court, part of the Oregon court system. The court takes copy orders in several ways. It asks for case details, the document, and the copy or seal you need. For deeds, mortgages, and easements, use Multnomah County Recording instead.
Birth and death certificates split by the age of the record. For a Multnomah County birth or death less than six months old, order through county Vital Records. Once the event is six months old, use Oregon Vital Records. Before ordering, open the state page and check who is eligible and which order method fits.
